THE
SHUFFLE
He seemed to save all his strength for
shaking hands
And when he did you felt part of the best deal ever
made (Which of course was true)
But in the end all he could do
Was shuffle.
It took more and more determination
He must have been a strong man ,
But then, he was following a strong man
And he’d learned a thing or two.
No one saw the last shuffle
But with it
Satan felt the unbearable blow
Of being trodden under foot just like a piece of dirt-
It wouldn’t have been so bad
But the shuffling man didn’t even notice,
His
mind was on other things as he danced into another
World.
